Pilates was developed by German-born Joseph Pilates, who believed mental and physical health were closely connected.

About me

1994-1999 studied at the University of Culture in Belarus. Graduated with a diploma in choreography, professional modern dance and dance teacher. Worked as a dance teacher in Choreography College. Performed on stage at the Belarus Modern Theatre.

2000 started to travel and work as a professional dancer.

2001-2005 worked in Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan. Performed on the stage in South Korea.

2005-2009 performed on stage in Portugal.

2009 arrived in London.

2009-2012 successfully completed and passed the Anatomy and Physiology Mat Pilates Course NVQ Level 3.
Completed Pre Natal and Post Natal Pilates course NVQ Level 3.

Hold a Diploma Certificate of Mat Pilates Diploma, Advance Level NVQ Level 3, in association with: The Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs), OCR Recognising Achievement, City & Guilds Approved Centre, Active IQ, FIA, BSI, UKAS Quality Management .

2011 completed Studio Equipment Pilates Course and Small Equipment Pilates Course: REPs recognised with Belinda Buttery PG.Dip Exercise Science and Claire Worman B.Sc Osteopathy.

Achieved the Level 3 Award in Designing Pre and Post Natal Exercise Programmes (QCF), National Accreditation, REPs.

2012 opened Pilates Studio offering the following range of classes:

Mat Pilates and Equipment Pilates
Pilates for Mother with Baby
Rehabilitation Pilates Class
Pilates Base/Improver/Advance Level

Equipment Pilates Base/Improver/Advance Level

2014 worked at St. Francis Hospice in Romford as a Pilates Instructor.

Who is Pilates for?

Pilates is a low-impact form of exercise and people of all ages, whatever their ability, from beginners to advanced level will benefit.

Pilates exercises are done on a mat or using special equipment, such as a Reformer. With its system of springs, handles and straps, the Reformer can provide either resistance or support, depending on your needs.

Why Reformer and Mat Pilates good for you and why you should try the Pilates?

Regular Pilates will help:

1. increase fitness levels
2. increase muscular endurance
3. develop or improve core strength
4. improve posture
5. increase flexibility
6. improve breathing
7. reduce body fat
8. reduce the risk of injuries

Like Mat Pilates, Reformer Pilates improves strength through the core and lumbar back, the glutes and the abdominals. It also improves balance, flexibility and co-ordination.

Taking regular exercise is very important as it decreases stress and improves mood, while helping you to lose weight and improve your fitness. It also helps you to keep your muscles and bones in good order whilst building a healthy immune system. People that exercise regularly often find that their sleep quality and quality of life improves too.

I have thoroughly enjoyed all her classes and tried many of her special Pilates classes: Postnatal Pilates, one-to-one classes, small group sessions (usually 2 or 3 people) and Reformer Pilates. She is very professional and adapts the requirements to each person attending the class. She is very knowledgeable and you can see the benefits of her classes from the first moment! She even had some time for baby Pilates during class when I attended with my baby boy years ago! The classes are relaxed and performed in a friendly environment but as she is very professional you work hard without realising! During the pandemic she adapted her classes to an online format via zoom. She made us welcome and offered several sessions a week as well as one-to-one classes.
